In the field of Biology; Zoology, General Biology, Molecular Biology and Botanical Sciences are available. Currently, there are 5 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 6 Doctor Teaching Members, 4 Research Assistants with Ph.D. and 1 Research Assistant in the field.

        Our department has a wide range of research fields and subjects. Academic studies are being carried out at regional, national and global levels. In addition to regional studies such as Ecology, Hydrobiology, Entomology, Wetlands and Wildlife, Diatom studies related to water quality are also recognized internationally. All kinds of studies to facilitate the life of human beings are included in the scope of Biology, in order to secure the lives of living beings and to protect the natural equilibrium. Researches on microbiology, molecular biology, zoonoses, medical plants, aromatic plants have been carried out and still continues in the subjects that constitute the substructure of basic medical sciences. In addition to biological inventory studies in our field, we try to produce theoretical and practical information about biologic and human life related issues as in vivo and in vitro.
